No. The entire process is 100% remote. You sign articles of association electronically, the notary handles all filings digitally, and UBS offers remote account opening. You can incorporate from anywhere in the world.
For a GmbH (LLC): CHF 20,000 minimum, fully deposited. For an AG (corporation): CHF 100,000 minimum, with at least 50% (CHF 50,000) deposited at incorporation. Capital is released to you once the company is registered.
